Metta Tomlinson Lansdale of Traverse City, Michigan, passed away at her home on July 13, 2022. A member of Branch III, Metta was the daughter of John and Metta Virginia Tomlinson Lansdale and the granddaughter of Alma von Rosenberg Tomlinson, late family historian who, amongst her many contributions to the von Rosenberg family, complied the first von Rosenberg book (the blue book). Arthur was one of the important members of his generation in the family, specifically for his contributions to our understanding of the early part of the history of the von Rosenberg family and in trying to separate fact from fiction. We are saddened to report that Dallas Ann Barnes passed away in Mesa, Arizona, on January 2, 2022. Ann was instrumental in furthering our knowledge and understanding of the von Rosenberg family for our generation, the pinnacle of which was her coordination of gathering information for Book III of The Von Rosenberg Family of Texas. She was instrumental in your humble webmaster's entry into the family and association, as well. In the middle of the first decade of the 21st century, she reached out to me after having found my personal family tree web page and invited me to give a talk at the Reunion on the Fallier family. I was hooked on the family and the reunion from then on.

Ann, may you rest in peace.

Maurice "Butch" Granville, Jr., passed away on May 14, 2018 at his home in Camden, Maine, at the age of 102. Maurice was a graduate of the University of Texas and M.I.T. He had a 41 year career with Texaco, beginning as a student engineer and working his way up to Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer.

Sheri Meerscheidt passed away on October 26, 2017 in Corpus Christi. Sheri was born Sheri Lynn Zimmermann in Waukesha, Wisconsin in 1947.

Sheri's grandson, Brandon Lee Meerscheidt passed away on February 24, 2017 from injuries sustained in a mountain climbing accident in southwestern Virginia.

Jesse James Meerscheidt is the husband of Sheri. Jeremy James Meerscheidt is Brandon's father. Our condolences to the Jesse and Jeremy Meerscheidt families.

It is with deep sadness that we report the passing of Glenn von Rosenberg of Waco, Texas. Glenn will be well known to many in the von Rosenberg family, especially to attendees of the annual reunions. Glenn has been instrumental in the keeping the spirit of the reunion alive for several decades. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy will continue.

After sixty years of marriage Robert von Rosenberg Miller, DVM, and Clara "Beth" (Alsobrook) Miller passed away within 25 hours of each other in early February. Services were held in Ballinger on February 11th. They were members of Branch III. Our deepest condolences are extended to the family.

She was a member of Branch I, the only child of Ralph William von Rosenberg and Eula Irene Myers von Rosenberg. Death of Hendley Edgar Tomlinson, Jr.

We are saddened to report the passing of Hendley Edgar Tomlinson, Jr., on December 8, 2015, at the age of 88. Hensley, Jr., was the son of Hendley Edgar and Alma Julie von Rosenberg Tomlinson of Branch III. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Melfi Tomlinson, in 2011 and his sister Metta Tomlinson Lansdale in 2001. He is survived by his son, Richard Tomlinson.
